Explaining Liverpool's Asian Appeal

Liverpool are claimed to be by far the best supported football club among Britain's Asians. That is the premise of journalist and lifelong Reds fan Mohammed Bhana, and the aim of The Asian Liverbird - a book commissioned by the club after an approach by Bhana - is to explore how so many immigrants from Asia came to choose Liverpool as their club on arriving in England in the 1960s and 1970s, and why their children and grandchildren are still passionate about the Merseyside Reds.
