Fokrul to skydive for orphanage

Emdad Rahman

Community activist Fokrul Hoque (Misfah) has decided to go dangerous and wacky for a really worthy cause.

Fokrul will be jumping off a plane while it cruises at 13,000 feet up in the sky.

Readers may recall that Fokrul completed an abseil at Canary Wharf last year to raise money for Cancer Research UK. It was a scary experience, but due to the generosity of so many, Fokrul managed to raise a lot of money.

"I have been blessed with everything that I have ever wanted, desired or ever needed," said Fokrul.

"This unfortunately cannot be said about the orphans in third world countries, who too often go without food or water for days.

"So with your help it is my current mission to do something to help those less fortunate than us.

"By risking my life I'm hoping that everyone will feel encouraged to dig deep in to their pockets."

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor Fokrul: Families Relief gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
