Occupy Mile End

The last month or so has seen 20 occupiers setting up camp in Mile End Park.

The camp is situated near the Mile end road junction on Burdett Road. 20 or so occupiers have pitched their camps and are making a stand against global capitalism.

The council has served a notice to quit and will use legal proceedings to enforce it. A court hearing is scheduled for 9th May.
A previous High Court order led to the protesters being evicted from St Paul’s Cathedral, where a non-violent protest and demonstration against economic inequality took place.

I'd be interested to kbow the level of support is like from the the local community? From what I heard the media was very negative about the movement at St Paul's, is it the same in Tower Hamlets?
