Barking Historian John Barfoot at Valence House Museum

Valence House Museum hosted a book signing and talk by local historian,  John Barfoot, Author of ‘Memoirs of a little blighter 1936-46. ‘  This little book of pre-war and wartime memories capture vividly a young boy's life growing up in Barking and Ilford. John talked about his experiences growing up in Barking and Dagenham and kept us all thoroughly entertained throughout.

John has written two previous books, "Over Here and Over There: Ilford Aerodromes and Airmen in the Great War" and "Essex Airmen 1910-1918".
