The Corona Chronicles - A socially distanced celebration of outstanding student achievements!

It was a pleasure to celebrate outstanding student achievements and to be a part of the fantastic end of year awards at the London Enterprise Academy. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the parents, students, teachers, staff under the watchful eye of Mr Goni sir.

We celebrated countless achievements in academic subjects, extra curricular activities, awesome citizenship, attendance, excellence in the community and dedication to education throughout the global pandemic.

As a volunteer at the school since it started I’m really pleased to see that alongside the focus on attaining an excellent  education the children are constantly encouraged to be positively active in their communities.

I also got myself a new mentee today and we’ll be working together on his sporting development opportunities in the next academic year.

Well done to all pupils and staff for working so hard each day to make a difference.

It was refreshing to be involved again. The pandemic has been really busy for me but mostly I’ve worked solo and at one point it seemed interaction of this type would be a long time in the waiting.

It was great being part of a strictly socially distanced award ceremony with the teachers and delicious lunch and catch up with the super kitchen staff.

This is a period of our history that will define many of us and it’s marvellous how the school has not only supported pupils onsite, but also those at home, shielding families and also vulnerable community members. The spirit within has burned bright.

Thanks to the Evertonian for the invite.

Wishing every dedicated teacher, pupil, support staff the very best for the future.
