A good day for #bookbikelondon #foodbike today with lots of leftover food collected from St Chads Church, Chadwell Heath.
En route I did my regular pit stop to get my tyres checked by my lil vbro Abdullah.
He is an integral part of #bookbikelondon and #foodbike and has been providing me with round the clock tech support as well as ensuring the #bicycle is in decent nick.
Thanks to Belinda at St Chads for letting me have the surplus. I’ve cycled three drops, including a vulnerable mental health patient who repeatedly expressed his thanks.
It seems he was excited about my arrival and startled me by quickly opening his front door as I was unloading my rucksack.
For that funny moment he gets to keep the London Enterprise Academy draw string bag.
The Hedgecock Community Centre and One Third Soup Kitchen teams are operating as normal during #covid19 and we have teamed up with local partners to great effect.
On a positive note the #coronavirus #pandemic has really bought most communities together. It needs to be said that there will still always be a sizeable minority who will always thrive on hate and that threat remains a growing one.
It’s sad but real!
I was really glad to visit St Chads Church to collect surplus a food and met with Belinda. We are all part of the #BDFoodNetwork family and the communication, contact and dedication to our shared mission is brilliant.
Here there’s no division based on colour, creed, race - We are all united with the aim of serving our communities to the fullest of our abilities.
This will create a positive and lasting legacy for future generations!
