For the magic carpet effect use a book and a bike!

I gave up my origami manual for Joan today on the basis that I get to see some of her handiwork via a window display. We have a deal believe.
#bookbikelondon is definitely operating during #lockdown2020 - It spreads too much happiness for me to stop now so the show goes on!
Today at Barking Elim Church I had the pleasure of teaming up with Pastor Obi Onyeabo from the Barking Foodbank.
The Hedgecock Community Centre were able to pick up #AromaCakes for the local homeless hostel. But not all plans go accordingly and on my cycle back every rough sleeper I met accepted a cake with the last reserved for Mrs S.
The lads and ladettes at Brocklebank Lodge homeless hostel weren’t to be denied though and Pastor Obi texted me later in the day to reserve another delivery.
My “freak” orange rucksack is now coming to good use at last.
I’d purchased it off eBay and misjudged the size. It was a bit of an abomination really and looked a bit like a failed experiment. Charles had been one of the first to point out and boy did we laugh out load.
The final chuckle belongs to me though and during the Covid-19 lockdown this bad boy has packed some serious content... food, medicine, books when I’ve had a bigger load to cycle.
I met a #homeless gentleman who usually benefits from the services at the Welcome Centre. He was perched on a small wall on the High Road and rolling a ciggie.
I told him I’d try bring some hot food tomorrow. Five minutes later I got a call from Ismail to say Royal Catering & Events had Biriani!
I love it when a plan comes together!
