On 17th December Shahin Badar was awarded the prestigious community award in the music catgory By channel S. This is the second year running Shahin has won this award. "A wonderful way to end the year and start another InshaAllah" she beamed. "The award was for my contribution of works in the mainstream over the years, there were other successful people who too were awarded from all professional categories, all very high profile achievers .I was very proud of the bengali community ,proud of the achievers and also that channel s took the time out to recognise talents within the british Bengali community" she added.Guests in attendance included Baronness uddin, Dr.Fazul Mahmood and the chairman of Channel S, Mahi Jalil.
Shahin took time out to wish all readers "a fab new year and may all your wishes come true my duas are with you always."
