June called today and requested a foodpack and book. She lives in a tower block and asked me to leave downstairs. June has a neighbour who volunteered to pick up her goods and leave outside her front door. She's home bound and has difficulty walking longer distances, so is mostly confined to shuffling around her home to get by.
She called me later to ask how I'd guessed she wanted a cookery book. "People call me Oracle!" I joked.
June's going to enjoy her read and try cook each of the simple recipes within. The Hedgecock Community Centre Foodbank and bookbike london will help with any ingredients she's struggling to get.
Sometimes all it takes is a book!
