Our East End Covid-19 Support Network team have been mad busy this week with additional services being added to the large number of food packs going out to isolating families.
With no signs of any abatement there are community volunteers out in force to ensure the neighbourhood is stocked up and provided for.
Today we also launched the hot food project for residents who are in need. Todays fantastic food spread was provided by Zia Chowdhury and his amazing family.
The project has been tweaked to also serve those fasting in Ramadan and meals will be provided at Suhoor and Iftar. On Monday we have a designated team taking over who will take care of all aspects of this project - from cooking to delivery.
We were delighted to receive a whole load of Tropicana juices which should thoroughly quench the thirst of many today.
