Today we welcomed Al Noor Mosque in Barking & Dagenham to come and watch us operate. They shadowed us and I feel we made a good impression as they’re all set to launch their own Foodbank next week.
It was a nice surprise and a pleasure to have Dilowar Khan, Executive Director of the East London Mosque & London Muslim Centre visit #hccfoodbank today.
More than anything he was throughly impressed with how our project is reaching out to absolutely everyone, including those in neighbouring boroughs.
He has advised us to be sincere and the rest will take care of itself - Very simple yet very effective counsel.
Mayesbrook Councillor Kashif Haroon was on hand to help us from beginning to end and topped it off nicely with a big donation which comes directly from his Members allowance. What an amazing gesture.

The Hedgecock Community Centre Foodbank team take great pride in serving our community.
We are operating as normal during Ramadan and our thanks to all our supporters - For the team it has been a very sharp learning curve and a complete eye opener.
