We have delivered 55 food packs this weekend to the vulnerable and elderly in our neighbourhood.
The list has got considerably longer but I’m glad to report that quite a lot of recipients have also stated that they don’t need any more packs going forward.
This is reassuring for us.
I met up briefly with my homeless friend Stu and as part of #bookbikelondon he got a new novel to kee him busy.
Thanks to Ismail Ali and the team at Royal Catering Stu and all 55 recipients received mouthwatering biriani.thanks to former Scintilla Cricket Club star and current NEO captain Ayaz Karim and Ani for helping us out.
Next week sees the start of Ramadan and I don’t think we will ever experience one like this one again in our lives.
The HCC Foodbank team will continue to operate throughout the holy month and beyond - until lockdown is over.
