When you have a zero budget it’s important to work with likeminded individuals to ensure community services are sustained.
As a strategy we chose to concentrate on the silent members of our parish, who rarely lift their heads above the parapet. They are vulnerable, scared and bewildered. There are hundreds of locals who suffer from food poverty - They are truly the ones in need during such dark times.
The Hedgecock Community Centre Foodbank volunteers have been able to serve our neighbourhood with great pleasure.
Today, we are pleased to have received a number of huge food packs from Team MC, which we will be distributing to people in our locality, who are now even more disadvantaged due to Covid-19 and an extended lockdown.
In fact the delivery was made by the two legendary Hajj Riders Rashid Ali and Abdul Hannan which makes it even more special.
